Is buffing your nails the same as fileing them?

if not what does buffing your nails mean and how do you do it?Is buffing your nails the same as fileing them?
no. buffing is ... well, 'buffing' away on TOP of the nail, as opposed to filing on the end of the nail, with a spongy file-like rectangle tool to smooth out the top of the nail for a more flawless nail appearance. do NOT use a nail file to buff your nails. they textures are different in both tools and you'll end up messing up your nails. and try not to overbuff your nails cuz it weakens them and makes 'em easy to break.

you can get a nail buffer for only a few bucks at any beauty supply store or walgreens. Is buffing your nails the same as fileing them?
no, filing uses a board thats courser in texture to shape your nails. buffing actually smooths out the top on your nail
buffing mean giving whole nail a shiny look.
