How do you buff your nails?

ive never buffed my nails before what do i need and how do i do it?How do you buff your nails?
Buy some of those Nail Buffers, which are mostly shaped like emery boards/nail files. They're in the same nailcare section, usually by the emery boards. There are usually 3 steps:

1. Clean.

This is the roughest texture of all, but not as rough as nail files. I've used some that have it as pink or white colored. This ';cleaning'; process is what makes your nails look white as well as smooth out ridges.

2. Smooth.

This is a smooth texture side, usually in white. Its purpose is to further smooth out ridges, making your nails smooth.

3. Shine.

This is the glossy side, usually in grey color. Its purpose is to make your nails super shiny, as if you have a clear coat of nail polish on.

With these 3 steps, just move each side back and forth sideways on top of each nail. Some buffers are rectangular shaped, with 4 sides, like what the professional nail shops use. But the steps are still the same. There is not much difference in various prices in terms of results, they all work the same, except the professionally-grade ones (available only through nail shop suppliers) last longer through wear %26amp; tear.

CAUTION:

Don't buff your nails more than twice a month. I have made the mistake of buffing once a week and it's waay too much. Excessive buffing will make your nails too thin and fragile (= split more easily).
