with very fine black waterproof sandpaper lightly sand until the ridges begin to disappear. allow some to remain then take your buffer of your choosing and then begin to buff until you reach that shine you desire. it is exactly what i did and its fine, be careful not to sand too much to avoid thinning the nail bed ok :)
