How often should I buff my nails?

My nails are really weak and I have decided that instead of putting polish over them, I will buff my nails and give myself manicures without nail polish. However, I have heard that buffing the nails can make nails weak. I have also heard that buffing can stimulate nail growth because of blood flow to the nails. So how often should I buff my nails to make sure that I am not harming them and making them weaker in the process? How often should I buff my nails?
once a month is more than enoughHow often should I buff my nails?
buffing is only to add shine to the nail. caused by stimulation from friction. over buffing can cause burning and thinning of nail. if you want natural looking nails. use a clear nail polish with strengthener. not only gives shine, but protects as well. as for buffing? just skip it. it is not necessary. if discoloration is what your after. then allow your nails to air for a day or so. nails need to breathe. the discoloration is lack of oxygen from nail polish.
Still use nail polish,it won't make them weak but make sure you use a proper basecoat so your nails will not stain. It is important to buy a good quality nail varnish remover so you do not strip the moisture from them. It would also be good for your nails if you bought nail strengthener, you put it on just like nail varnish. Only buff your nails once a month, any more than that will weaken them further.
Nail polish is actually something you should use to strengthen your nails. It provides protection if you have weak brittle nails. Buffing will not hurt your nails. All buffing does is add a shine to your nail.
